Last month, we launched Squire, our Discord bot built to help connect your game’s players with your Discord community. Since then, we’ve been hard at work expanding what Squire can do, and today we’re excited to introduce a powerful new addition: Claimable Rewards in Discord.
Squire now lets you launch reward campaigns directly inside your Discord server, allowing community members to claim in-game rewards without ever leaving Discord. We’ve seen major games use this kind of campaign to drive meaningful community engagement, and now Squire makes it possible for teams of any size to do the same.

Powered by LootLocker’s Authentication, Unified Player Accounts (UPA), and Triggers systems, Claimable Rewards connects your Discord community directly to your game’s existing economy, progression systems, and inventory. It also gives you a new way to understand who your community members actually are by linking Discord users to their game platform identities.
Whether you’re rewarding existing players, running platform-specific promotions, or building excitement before launch, Claimable Rewards makes Discord a much more powerful part of your player engagement strategy. You can launch campaigns before your game is even live, without needing the LootLocker SDK integrated yet, and still have those rewards ready for players once your game launches.
Getting started with Claimable Rewards is simple:
Enable Squire in your Discord server and connect it through the LootLocker Web Console.

Create a new Trigger in the LootLocker Web Console and define how many times the reward can be claimed and which rewards the player will receive.

In the Squire tab inside the Trigger configuration, add your custom announcement title and text and an image for the Discord post. Here you can use the Preview button to see exactly how the reward post will appear in Discord before publishing.

Click Announce, choose the Discord channel you want to post in, and publish the reward campaign.

Your community will see a Discord message with a Claim Reward button directly inside the post.

By default, when a player clicks Claim Reward, the reward is granted to a LootLocker player profile associated with that user’s Discord ID. This is enough if you want to start building player relationships in LootLocker through Discord alone.

If you want the reward to also be tied to a player’s platform account (for example Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Epic Games, or another supported platform) so it appears in-game automatically (assuming you’ve also integrated our SDK), you can require that as part of the claim flow.
To do that, add a Segment to the Trigger using the “Have linked one of” operator and select the platforms you want to require.

This changes the claim flow by requiring the player to also authenticate with one of the selected platform accounts when they claim the reward. Once they’ve completed the claiming flow, the player’s Discord ID is linked to their platform ID and the reward is granted to the correct player profile.

Even better, this only needs to happen once. After that, Squire can recognize the player across future reward campaigns and interactions assuming they have the same Discord and platform IDs.
One of the most powerful things about Claimable Rewards is that it works before your game even launches!
That means you can run reward campaigns during:
Players can claim rewards in Discord ahead of time, and once your game goes live with the LootLocker SDK integrated, those rewards can already be waiting for them in-game.
This gives you a compelling reason to bring players into your Discord early, while also building identity, engagement, and future conversion opportunities before launch day.
Because Claimable Rewards is built on top of LootLocker Triggers and Segments, you’re not limited to simple “everyone gets the same thing” campaigns. In fact, you can create highly targeted reward campaigns based on criteria like platform, playtime, and other segment conditions available in LootLocker.
That means you can reward the right players at the right moment, whether you’re driving re-engagement, celebrating a milestone, or running a platform-specific promotion.
For example, use the Joined condition and the Between dates fields to restrict the claimable rewards to only players who played during a Steam Fest your game participated in.

Or use the Have Also Played condition to reward players who have played another of your games.

Claimable Rewards turns your Discord server into more than just a community space. It becomes a direct engagement channel tied to your game’s player identity, rewards, and progression systems.
