Software Engineer - C# / C++

Full-time, Remote (Europe & US East)

Summary

We are looking for a C# / C++ Software Engineer to build and maintain the LootLocker SDK across multiple game engines and platforms.

The Position

In this role you will be tasked with designing, building, and maintaining our customer-facing SDK across multiple game engines and platforms (Unity3D, Unreal Engine, and more) and assisting our users should they have any questions regarding the SDK’s integration. You will be responsible for owning the SDK and making sure it meets the needs of our users.

The LootLocker backend is a collection of RESTful APIs with JSON output. The purpose of the SDKs is to elegantly abstract the web APIs away from the user, simplifying consumption by handling responses and errors natively in the user’s game.

As we are a small team you will be working closely with the CTO and other Senior Engineers to plan the SDK’s roadmap based on customer feature requests and new features currently in development by the backend team. You will be expected to define the scope of work before executing the planned tasks alone. Because of this we are looking for a candidate who is a strong communicator, works well in a remote setting, and can solve technical problems without much guidance. This role can eventually evolve to a Team Lead within the LootLocker technical organization as we grow the company.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional C# / C++ software development experience
  • Solid understanding of JSON and RESTful APIs
  • A great sense of technical excellence, functionality, and problem-solving
  • A passion for writing great documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written English

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with developer support
  • Experience from the gaming industry
  • Passionate about gaming
  • Experience with Unity and / or Unreal Engine
