We are very excited to share that we have completed our first funding round for LootLocker, bringing in around $250,000 into the company! Our new shareholders add more than just money to the company - these investors read as a "who's who" of Sweden's game industry elite with their decades of experience. We couldn’t be more happy with the insights these new investors bring to the company and look forward to working with them as we continue building LootLocker.
Here’s a little bit about our new investors:
Linus Blomberg is the co-founder and CTO of Avalanche Studios where he has overseen the development of Avalanche’s proprietary game engine, Apex for the past 17 years and developed major AAA games like Just Cause, Mad Max, and Rage 2.
Sander Brauwers is an online marketing specialist, business developer, and co-founder of IGDB.com (acquired by Twitch in 2019). He is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at EQU8 Anti-Cheat.
Robert Bäckström was an original part of Fatshark’s journey from a small indie team to one of the leading developers of online coop games, providing him with experience in how to create and evolve a gaming studio. He is credited as producer on seven major game titles on both PC and consoles. Robert is currently employed as a Game Producer at Raw Fury.
Stefan Lindeberg is an experienced business angel and former venture capitalist with a special interest in games, with engagements in Fatshark, Eat Create Sleep, Valiant Game Studio, Itatake, and more.
Fredrik Sjöö has 20+ years experience from the games industry in various roles ranging from programmer to COO of Avalanche Studios. Besides being an angel investor, Fredrik also runs his own business, Lakely, where he offers business development to companies with emphasis on agile leadership.
Karl Magnus Troedsson previously worked as CEO at EA DICE and VP of Strategy at EA before joining Stockholm-based indie publisher Raw Fury. For the last four years Karl Magnus has also been an active angel investor with a singular focus on helping start-ups in the games industry.
