Today we’re launching a new pricing model for LootLocker that better reflects the evolving needs of our customers and the changing landscape of the games industry.
Our mission has always been to lower the barrier to entry for using a backend to power your game. Over the past few years, LootLocker has grown, and so have the teams and titles using it, from solo indies to global publishers. To better support this broader spectrum of creators, we’re updating our pricing model to scale more flexibly with your project while still offering a free option for testing LootLocker or developing a non-commercial game.
Here’s what’s changing.
A free, 30-day trial for new projects.

Includes everything in Trial, plus:
Includes everything in Developer, plus:
As you may notice, we’ve removed fixed subscription fees. Why? Because there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to pricing. Every developer and publisher using LootLocker has different needs and business models, and our pricing now adapts accordingly.
We remain committed to supporting students, hobbyists, and indie developers. That’s why we’re introducing a non-commercial license, allowing select projects to continue using LootLocker for free — even beyond the 30-day trial.
If you’re working on a game you don’t plan to monetize, just fill out the non-commercial license form in the web console after logging in. We’ll review it and get in touch.
All commercial projects are covered under our updated Fair Use Agreement and include the features of the Trial tier (MAU limit, authentication, and integrations).
Everyone currently using LootLocker for free (wether you're on the Hobby plan or still undecided) will be automatically transferred to the non-commercial license. If you're working on a commercial game, please contact us to discuss how we can support you best.
Not right now. We’re reaching out to all current subscribers individually to help transition you to the new tier that best fits your needs.
If you’re building a game that you don’t intend to monetize — for example, a student project or hobby game — you’re eligible for our non-commercial license and can use LootLocker for free.
Congrats — that’s a great milestone! We never want to cut your game off unexpectedly, so if you exceed the 1,000 MAU limit, we’ll reach out directly to discuss next steps.
Your game will stay active in LootLocker, but access to the web console will be paused. To regain full access, you'll need to either move to a non-commercial license or upgrade to a paid tier.
